Skye Stromberry and the Special Stone - Book Review
by A.M. Luzzader
This book tells the story of Skye Stromberry, a 10-year-old garden fairy who lives in Mirror River Garden with her family. She has two sisters, Jeni and Lissa. Like all garden fairies, Skye keeps a journal of their garden, taking notes on plant growth, rainfall, and any problems they encounter. Skye has a talent for helping flowers grow, and her favorite flower is the rose.
One day at school, Miss Blossom, the teacher, announces the Spring Break activity, and all the fairies in Skye's class get excited. Spring Break means a full week off from classes, but it's also a fun time for the young fairies who will witness and participate in a magical event. Despite the preparations they have to make in their respective gardens, the student fairies remain enthusiastic about participating in a day-long party.
For the final event, Miss Blossom requires each fairy student to find and bring a special item to the Spring Day celebration.
