Christmas Stories - Book Review
Christmas Stories
by Arnie Lightning
Christmas stories are perhaps the most exciting tales children love to hear over and over again. There seems to be something magical in each of them that captures their interest.
Christmas Stories is a sort of Santa Claus‘ life journey. In this book, Arnie Lightning tells us the story of Nicholas from his early beginnings to the man he is today. As the author relates it, there was once an ordinary-looking man named Nicholas in the community. He was just a hard-working toymaker. And, he was not fat at all! The young man lived a simple life. Until something happened to him and his family.
Nicholas was a kind man and diligent in his work. Because of these, he earns appreciation and love from the children in the neighborhood. There’s also a special being who notices his character. This being, we call elf, finds Nicholas a suitable candidate to work on a special mission.
One day, the elf decides to pay Nicholas a visit. From this moment on, Nicholas’ life is never the same again. Follow Nicholas’ life journey and learn how he earns the name Santa Claus. Join him in his many adventures around the world.
The Book and the Author of Christmas Stories
Christmas Stories is a series of short and cute tales about Santa Claus and Christmas. I like how Arnie Lightning builds the major character. He develops Nicholas’ persona so well that it comes close to reality. The other characters are also well-established.Moreover, the book is divided into short and fun chapters. It’s a clever idea to split up the stories into short ones, indeed! It ensures to engage the young listeners and readers within their attention span. What I like the most in Christmas Stories is the author’s effort to share how the different cultures celebrate Christmas. It gives kids a broader view of the world. Likewise, the jokes are an added entertainment!
Overall, I give Christmas Stories a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to parents and guardians with children 3 – 10 years old.
