Herobrine is Watching: The New Adventures of Adam and Marky Episode I
by Stu Cork
The Boys Outwit Herobrine
Herobrine is Watching is a children’s book by Stu Cork. Its story revolves around two schoolboys who dare to venture into a haunted building. The story begins with Adam and Marky walking home together from school. They talk about the Math test they just had when Marky proposes an idea. He suggests that they take a shorter way to get home faster. This means, however, that they pass by an old shoe factory. Adam is not inclined to the idea at first. He gets a spooky feeling about the old building. People in the area believe that the factory is haunted.
But, Adam eventually decides to give a little adventure a try. They cut through a field and soon reached the place where the old factory stands. Marky suggests further that they go inside the building. He’s curious to know why people call it a haunted place. As soon as they are inside, the two boys notice something strange. Suddenly, the creaky floors give in, causing Marky to fall down into a dark hidden room below. Adam tries to rescue him. And, they make some noise in the process that alerts the monsters. Inside the basement, they found boxes of dangerous items. The boys know they need to do something with the boxes. From this point onwards, it’s up to you, young readers to discover what is inside the boxes. Why does Marky say, “we’re heroes”?
The Book and the Author of Herobrine is Watching
Stu Cork is a good storyteller. In Herobrine is Watching, he tickles the young readers' minds. The plot allows them to imagine how the machines work to produce those creepy creatures. The book is also well illustrated. Its big and colorful pictures will surely keep the young reader’s eyes glued to the pages until the end. Besides, the story’s length is just enough or within the normal attention span of a child.I give Herobrine is Watching a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. And, I recommend the book to parents with children between 1 and 7 years old.
