The Book and the Author

Christmas Activity Book for Smart Kids is educational material for children 4 to 12 years old. Even younger kids may enjoy listening to the stories. The book is not the usual type of educational material that easily bores young people. Rather, I commend the author for his radical concept of a children’s book.

Ayoub Benali’s style of writing is simple and conversational. He speaks right to the individual child. He makes sure to engage the reader from beginning to end by keeping them busy with the activities. I also like Benali’s style of throwing sporadic questions that elicit interest among the readers and participants of his activity book. What I like the most in Christmas Activity Book for Smart Kids is the author’s effort to inject a bit of history of the Christmas tradition. It gives kids a head start.

The Technical Side of the Book

I appreciate the author’s choice of fonts and the size of the texts. They’re playful and childlike. But, I have to point out that some of the words are not properly spaced. Although this issue is negligible and don’t ruin the entire book.

Overall, I give Christmas Activity Book for Smart Kids a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, and I highly recommend it to parents or guardians with kids 4 – 12 years old. There are a lot of things to learn from this educational material. Even younger children may find the stories interesting. The book is an ideal gift item for Christmas.
